Reflections, Friendships, and Celebration at WordCamp Asia

In part two, we continue to hear the resonating theme of what most attendees loved about WordCamp Asia 2023. This time they are post-WordCamp vs. part one where we heard from people live at the event in Bangkok. But they are still filled with passion and memories and the love that so many of our WordPress community members have for each other and working to build a continuing, strong community.

There was so many incredible people. I don’t think I saw a single person that would be sad or upset. I mean, it was smiles, laughter all around. And whoever attended the after party, I mean, you saw the dance moves, right? I mean, what was that? It was just out of this world.

I met you guys first time in person, and you both encouraged my enthusiasm just because I arrived from a very long flight and was heading to attend the contributor day.

It was great getting to hang out with people for the first time despite having known them for years.

It was so much fun to see all the happy, smiling faces as they were looking around wondering if they were one that were gonna win that iPad or that cool new prize.

I could visit Thailand a hundred times, but it would not be the same in being in the same room, shaking hands, exchanging hugs, listening to others’ experiences, and taking selfies with the wonderful WordPress community!

I like the community and the people I’ve met and I sometimes wish we could work with them every day.

My favorite memory from work camp Asia has to be two sessions that I attended … they were really really beautiful messages to receive in a very beautiful place and I think at a very beautiful time in in the world.

Congratulations to all the organisers. What a fantastic event! And a brilliant addition to the pantheon of great WordCamps around the world.
