WordCamp Asia was amazing.
But it’s also not just about my experience. On the second day I spent a little time asking some of the attendees what they loved about the event. As much as I wanted to keep on asking, I chose just a small window of time so that I could let everyone enjoy the experience.
So listen in as we hear what I believe is a constant message that comes across from those attending any WordCamp.
It’s definitely the people. It’s been amazing just being here in Asia, which is really good. And, at every WordCamp, it’s always the people meeting the people, meeting all friends, making new friends.
I’m really surprised and I feel really welcome at how friendly and approachable the community are. Everyone seems so passionate. Just ask them something and they can go on to tell so much about their experience.
What do I like most about WordCamp is meeting friends and meeting new friends.
WordCamps are really about filling up your emotional buckets. There’s so many wonderful conversations where people build each other up.
People are so welcoming. They are pouring their knowledge into me. It’s a very rewarding and learning experience for me.
I think the thing I like the most is the energy here. It is one of the first events in Asia and we see that people are excited about it and to meet all these folks from Asia that we don’t meet that often.
So far it’s been great just meeting new people in real life as well, because we are connected online.
I think we all waited for a very long time and if you roam around here, it’s buzzing, it’s bubbling, and we are meeting all different people from Asia and it’s so interesting from from an intercultural perspective as well.
I think the relationship and the bonding we have seen here. It’s tremendous. People are so warm and welcoming. I just love the fact that so many people from different part of the world coming together in one event. It is an amazing thing.
The spirit and the community of everyone here is just so amazing. It brings me so much happiness and everyone is very connecting to everything like the a true community.
The energy over here is totally electrifying and that’s the best part. I feel a culmination of all the cultures.
For my first WordCamp, it’s been very, very insightful. Learning a lot, meeting a lot of different people from different industries, different roles, and learning a lot more.
