Episode Transcript
Coming out of WordCamp US 2023, you can probably tell my voice is a little rough. It was a lot rougher. In fact, it was gone by about the second day of WordCamp and has been slowly coming back. Sometimes I feel like it’s even lower than it was before, if that’s possible. But anyway, I had a great event. I’ll be talking about that on a show I’m putting out this Friday. We’ll be having several different other WordCamp US related podcasts probably over the next couple of weeks. I did some recording there. Of course, we’ll be doing this, which I’m going to be asking you as a listener to be part of.
Typically on the podcast, I have a show that I record afterwards, getting people to share what they liked about WordCamp, their takeaways, and things like that. We’ll have a couple of other post shows, or I should say post WordCamp shows, where we will be talking to some organizers to hear their thoughts about WordCamp. Of course, we’ll also have some with attendees. For now, if you were at WordCamp US, this is what I would like from you: simply record a one to three-minute audio snippet telling our listeners what your takeaway of the event was or what the highlight was. You can also tell us why you attended Contributor Day.
There are some instructions on the post if you go, but if you go to the link, you’ll just start with something like, “Hey, I’m Bob WP, Do the Woo, flew in from Porto, Portugal,” and then go into what you want to share. It’s really pretty simple. Probably looking for a one to three-minute audio. I have a link where you can go record it, but if you’re listening to this and you don’t feel like finding the link or anything like that, because it’s probably not the easiest link to remember, you can go ahead and record this yourself on your computer and simply send it to podcast@dothewoo.io. The deadline is Friday, September 8th, so this won’t be coming out for a little bit. The deadline is 2400 UTC. I would love to have you participate. Again, I’ll share more of my experience Friday when I record a show. I’m not going to promise anything because this week is a little bit low-key, as you can probably guess here at Do the Woo, but I would like to share a little bit about my experience and some of the stuff coming up.
In fact, I had a lot of conversations with different people there, and we have a lot of exciting stuff coming from Do the Woo through the end of the year. Some of this you will know later on, and some of it you will know sooner than later. So that’s it. Let me know what you loved about WordCamp or Contributor Day. That’s it for this one. We’re going to be sending out more of these short podcasts. Again, I’ll be talking about that soon in a show as well. I hope you participate if you attended WordCamp US. Until next time, keep on doing the woo. Woo!
