Whether I’m at the DEIB table or mingling with other contributors, this day is the reason why we amplify the voices of the incredible doers in the WordPress space. Reflecting on their dedication and the power of our community, I’m reminded of the heart and soul behind Do the Woo, driving us to keep doing what we do.

Hey, BobWP here, and welcome to the exciting week of the Do the Woo 4.0 launch!
Today marks Contributor Day at WordCamp Europe, just one day before our official launch. This major update is a big milestone for us, and we’re diving deep into all things Do the Woo.
While the launch is front and center in my mind, Contributor Day always brings me back to the core of our mission: amplifying the voices of the incredible doers in the wider WordPress space.
Today, you’ll likely find me at the community team area, possibly at the DEIB table, or maybe wandering around. Contributor Day is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do at Do the Woo. Seeing all these amazing people having conversations and working on their laptops never gets old. I admire and applaud their contributions to our ecosystem and the open-source community. This sight has been a constant source of inspiration for me since I first attended Contributor Day.
In many of our shows, especially in the WordPress Way and WordPress Event Talk series, we’ve highlighted numerous contributors. Their dedication to the project often comes up, underscoring the importance of community. If you ever get the chance to attend a Contributor Day, I highly encourage you to do so. Reflect on the power of community, and the incredible impact it has on our work.
There’s always more to be done to ensure the sustainability of the project. Many of these discussions have taken place on our shows, and I’m proud to have been a part of them. Each day, as I listen to my fantastic hosts talk with community members and hear their stories, it warms my heart and soul.
So, yes, in a way, Contributor Day is part of our launch. It’s the part that keeps me and my incredible team of hosts motivated. On this particular Contributor Day, likely one of the largest ever, I’m proud to be part of this community and behind a podcast that is for the community and by the community.
That’s it. Cheers!
