The Do the Woo Series of Shows

/

Now without giving the details as I am still working out, here a bigger picture of just part of what is coming here to our podcast. As you likely know as a listener, we have several shows that center around broader topics. For example, Robbie and Robert do the Woo AgencyChat and we have an additional live conversation with agencies. Also, Ronald, along with Jonathan and Tammie focus more on the product builder and their story. Zach and Carl geek out with their Woo DevChat. Kathy and Dave talk about emerging tech. And so on, and so on.These are just a few examples, but hopefully you get the idea.

With that said, there are other topics and areas we have talked about, and I want to include moving forward, as well as expanding a bit more on WordPress specific topics. Which if I dare say, if it affects WordPress, it affects Woo.

Some of these topics may fall into a broader category and a need a home for those. That could be accessibility for example. Other topics such as WordPress events, enterprise, WordPress core, contributor stories, open source, etc. all have potential.

Now without committing to anything specific right now, I am visioning branded shows under Do the Woo that will cover some of these topics. Each show will have it’s own life. And most importantly, as a listener, you will be able to pick and choose the shows you want to keep up on and get them dropped into your favorite Pod app. See where I’m going with this?

Between our extended global reach and building a series of shows that are for the WooCommerce and WordPress builder community, by the community, there is a lot to do.  So, with that said, more to come soon.

WooSesh

There is an event I want to share and that is WooSesh. If you know what it is, well, I don’t need to convince you. But if not, its’ a virtual conference for WooCommerce store builders that will help grow your business. Sounds like something right up the Do the Woo Community alley, right? Last year we were a partner and had the pleasure of closing each day with a live Do the Woo chat, with our hosts and speakers and sponsors from WooSesh. Well, you can guess that of course we are doing this again. In fact you will be hearing more about it here on the podcast as the dates of the event. October 10-12 approach.

And, wait, this year will be the very first Seshies, some fun Woo awards. The Innovation Award, Store of the Year, Extension of the Year, Agency of the Year, Developer of the Year and Advocate of the Year. You can go there now and nominate your choices and then get ready to vote. So make sure you go to woosesh.com and sign up to get notified when free registration opens, which I’m sure will be soon.

Well, I’m going to call it at that for this week. I’ll get back to sharing some audio snippets next time and go back and find some of the cool stuff I found around our ecosystem lately. So until the next time, keep on Doing the Woo.
