Hey BobWP back on the airwaves for an update on our post rebranding, or what are they to call phase two of our rebranding, we’re busy working on three main channels and moving shows to series. You might even have caught a hint of that in the intro. In fact, you could consider this an informal rebranding series. As for the next week or two, I will be catching you up on all things happening here. But what I wanted to touch on now is something I recently said in a previous episode.

If you’ve ever gone through a rebrand, I think you know the deal. You head in with some goals, vision, maybe a nice roadmap. But once you hit that post rebrand stage, well, things start shifting, new ideas pop up, priorities evolve and you start seeing what really fits and what doesn’t.

And that is the truth. Since rebrand there’s been a lot of work around consistency and also how we perceive our content as well as our listeners and readers. So for now, as we move things to series, well, series will often sunset and there are specific reasons and often it can be misconstrued if those are not shared. And since we always announce our new series, then it’s only fair to keep you up on all ends. Plus, sunsetting a series is not a whim, it takes a lot of thought and with restructuring, what was talked about in any series well can continue under another series are simply under that channel. Like I said, gotta keep flexible.

Now before we share those series that are ending, you can depend on the continuation of the knowledge and expertise that comes out of each episode that lives on. And for our restructuring to make this not only a place to elevate the voices, which has initially been from the beginning, also from the beginning, a large knowledge base to help you learn and grow.

So which of the series will be sunsetting? WordPress event talked now, the reason behind this decision is based on the direction WP voices no longer being a show as we move into rebranding a channel. This may be a bit confusing until I clarify this in the next update, but this does not mean we won’t ever drop things here and there around events and it will just not be a focus as a series. But on the other hand, our recently new series Open Event Talk may have some surprises for you now and then. And Woo Biz Chat and Woo Dev Chat, the hosts of those shows have chosen to move to another series that better reflects their knowledge and expertise.

So that’s pretty self explanatory. And that’s one of the beauties of a series is being able to start up one, being able to sunset one when the time comes. And as I mentioned, sunsetting a few series is only to start again. We will soon be sharing the results of phase two, so keep your eyes and more importantly, your ears open. Until the next time, take care.

  1. […] In a recent episode, founder BobWP gave you an idea of where we are going with in Phase 2 of our rebranding. He had mentioned the move from shows to channels and the flexibility of series, plus some restructuring. As we continue through Phase 2 this month, we thought it would be good to give you a list of all the series that are active at this point in time. […]
