BobWP:
I’m now heading home from WordCamp Europe. And with that comes day three of our rebranding series on Open Channel FM. Today we’re going to explore what the Open Web means and why our hosts, our guests and myself are so passionate about it. Now, Open Web Conversations will be where the future of the Internet is up for discussion. And I can say nothing is off limits, except maybe a little gatekeeping to keep things sane, friendly and in a positive direction. This show will explore the bigger picture of digital life, from emerging technologies and decentralization to new ways of thinking about identity, ownership and creativity online.

Now, it’s not all theoretical. We actually do sit down with people who are building the future, one line of code, one idea at a time. Now Open Web Conversations will have the series Federated Flows. You’ve been listening to Matthias as he keeps us grounded in the Fediverse and what it means to be truly federated.

Dave Lockie has been talking about emerging tech and we’ll continue to talk about it as he guides us through what’s next so you can get a little bit of an edge on what’s around the corner. There’s the founders. This is a new show as Tammy Lister and Jonathan Wold moved over to start this. And they will have thoughtful chats with the folks creating the tools, the services that reshape the web.

And we’re moving over Carl Alexander’s and Zach Stepek’s DevPulse. Beyond the Stack, seems like a better place for it. And if you’ve been listening to them over the years, you know what seriously geeking out is. They’ll talk shop on building better stacks, talk about developer lifestyle, and as you can guess, a lot more. This show will be for the curious, the builders, the ones who still believe the web can be weird in the best way, you know. So that’s it. Join us tomorrow for day four of our rebranding series. And until then, take care.
