Episode Transcript

Hey welcome to Open Channels FM, Bob here and before I start I would like to thank Omnisend and Woo for supporting this episode.

So I wanted to drop an episode as we get ready to release v 7.1 end of this week and share with you what you can expect, with a highlight on a couple of pieces.

Unofficially we have started a new YouTube Channel. And if you are asking a “new” channel. The reason being is I wanted it to reflect our rebranding and get things in place to actually do video production. We already have a few videos there and a whooping 17 subscribers. On the latter, I just prefer to grow it organically without ads, etc to get more followers or listeners.

So obviously I am goning to ask you if you spend anytime at all over on YouTube, please subscribe to our new channel at Open Channels FM or more specifically, YouTube.com/@openchannelsFM. A few of our episodes will remain audio, specifically our news channel like this and others that in the event, just do not work as video. In addition we will be doing shorts and what I like to call open Clips. The latter being videos from 3-5 minutes pulling out a piece of the conversation that will be worth listening to and watching. These will also be published as posts on our site at open channels.fm/openclips

And speaking of videos, we now have a page for Do the Woo Live and Open Channels FM Live. Do the Woo is always live streamed and you will find the latest and upcoming Do the Woo livestream at open channels.fm/dothewoolive. And when we start our month Open Channels FM live there will be a page for that as well.

Well, that’s all the video stuff.

Our second big piece if our new newsletter, BackTalk. This has been something in the works, or I should say in my head, for several months since the rebrand. And without addressing the reasons for the my procrastination, mostly I wanted to get it right. So every Wednesday, starting this week BackTalk will bring to you, just that BackTalk. Well, let’s say. A play on that word. What we will be doing is bringing back the conversations in quotes from our archives. Short insights that are text pulled out that could likely have been missed when listening to the full episode or not listening at all. A few short ones, a few longer ones and some just for giggles.

I really wanted to bring you a different angle of value to your inbox vs. a bunch of links. Or even our recaps. Which speaking of, yes, there will be that option in a separate weekly email sent out on Fridays with a recap of our weeks content. So instead of filling your box each time we publish a mix of episodes, posts, clips and other updates and news, it will hit your inbox one time each week where you can pick and choose what interests you. Of course, we can always subscribe on your favorite pod app if you haven’t done that yet, or that is your preference. But if you want all content our Friday Open Channels Rewind.

So again, would love to have your subscribe to one of them, or both at open channels.fm/subscribe. I might send an occasional update on something exciting, but as you can guess, I’m not selling anything.

Well, Those cover our updates in 7.1. Aside from that, you will notice that we will be mentioning all of our sponsors in each episode and post. With a maximum up to 4 at any given time. And speaking of, would like to thank Omnisend for stepping up to continue their support of our network as well as Woo’s support. Do check them out at Ominsend.com and WooCommerce.com.

A lot going on, a month full of content and if you are going to CloudFest in Germany this month, please find me and say hi. Until the next time, take care.
