Well, as you can see, this is WooBits, which I typically share on Fridays. Now I am doing this today for a couple of reasons. First, complications in people’s schedules gave us an empty slot today. So there is that. But more importantly, I want to introduce you to Around the Woo Builder Community, what it is and what is going on lately.
Past WooBits and news
WooBits has had a bit of history on the site. Originally it was more news focused on what was going on with WooCommerce core and other Woo happenings for any given week. Well, there came a point when I realized I did not want to make even part of Do the Woo a news-type site. There are other sites that talk about this, and what new products are coming out. So I transformed WooBits into more or less my commentary, my perceptions and perspectives as well as some of the stuff going on here at Do the Woo. But for all of those who know me well, it’s time for another WooBits pivot.
Around the Woo builder community
I am constantly watching for bits of Woo on social, Slack and other places. What tends to draw my attention most and what I find more interesting, is builders sharing some decisions they are going through. Or perhaps just asking something of the Woo or WordPress community. So I thought it might be good to highlight those here on WooBits occasionally. A bit random, but you will eventually see a theme of me finding nuggets in the builder community.
A few things to note:
These will happen when they happen. What I mean by that is the Friday WooBits may be more focused on this vs. my commentary at times. Or I’ll just interject them into the same day of a regular show (most times in addition to the show) or an off day. My goal is to only publish when I have a few things worth sharing. In other words, not on any specific schedule. But they will be called Around the Woo Builder Community.
These will also be curated by myself and will not be mentioned through anyone’s recommendation. They will be chosen because I find them interesting enough to share.
To get the most out of these you will likely also want to visit the post for links in the show notes. As I am not going into a deep dive here on the topics, but using this medium to share conversations out there that I feel you will learn something from. So how about I give you a couple examples.
