Do The Woo has entered the Fediverse 🎉

This means you can now listen to episodes and read blog posts on the platform or client of your choice, and easily provide feedback or engage in discussions.

You can hear us talk about it in Do the Woo is Trailbazing the Fediverse ~ On the WPCommunity Show.

But what is the Fediverse?

The Fediverse is a network of interconnected, decentralized social media platforms where users can communicate across different services. You may have heard of Mastodon, one of the best-known platforms on the Fediverse, but there are also others like Threads.net, Flipboard, and even WordPress, which support this decentralized social networking concept.

If this sounds exciting but you’re not sure where to start? Here are some great resources for beginners:

  • fediverse.info gives a lot of general informations information about the Fediverse, and I highly recommend watching the “What is the Fediverse?” video.
  • Join the Fediverse is a Wiki the helps you with all your questions and lists a lot of different options to “Join the Fediverse”.
  • Alternatively, you can check the Mastodon directory to find the server that best suits your needs.
