With WordCamp Europe around the corner, Blackwall has stepped up to sponsor me to attend the event in Krakow, Poland.
And I’m excited beyond words.
Who is Blackwall?
Blackwall is a web security company built specifically for hosting providers and the agencies that work with them. Their flagship product, GateKeeper, sits at the front door of your web traffic and filters out the bad stuff in real time: malicious bots, scrapers, DDoS attacks, brute force attempts, all before any of it ever touches your site.
They’re protecting over 2.3 million websites across 30 countries, and they’re trusted by some big names in the hosting world including DigitalOcean, AWS, and cPanel. What makes them interesting for a WordPress crowd is the practical side: less junk traffic means faster sites, lower server costs, and a lot less headache.
Good people to have in your corner, especially if you’re running or building on open web infrastructure.
Myself, I am looking forward to meeting up with the Blackwall team at WCEU. And I bet you we will find the time to do a short episode to share with you when I am back.
I would also like to thank our host Robert Jacobi for making this happen. In fact, you will also find him at WCEU. Plus our other hosts Anne-Mieke Bovelett, Dave Lockie, Marcel Schmitz and Nathan Wrigley.
If you are going, make sure and say hi to any of us.
And again, thank you Blackwall, and do check them out.
See you soon, cheers, Bob.
